I have owned my Fujitsu P7120 Lifebook for nearly 8 months now. I don't use it very often, so after I fully charge the battery I store the computer for when I need it. However, I have found that after only 1 week of inactive computer use (computer had been Shut Down), my battery availability is less than 50%. (But if I power it up and use it, I still get many hours of work from it.)
I have never seen this in any other laptop battery. Has anyone experienced this same problem? (Power drain from an inactive P7120 battery?) Perhaps my battery is deffective?

Are you putting it into low power mode or actually turning it off?
In either event, Lithium Ion batteries do leak the charge when they aren't used. But 50% in one week doesn't sound right unless you are in standby mode. -
Hi Night, thanks for reply quickly. No, I shut down my computer completely. So, there should be no power drain (aside from the small amount that usually occurs with unused batteries). But the period is probably closer to 2 weeks than 1. That should, in my mind, not be long enough time for an unused battery to diminish to 50%.
Do you have a Lifebook P7120 as well? -
If you haven't been there, may I suggest going to the leog.net forums? They have a forum dedicated to the Lifebook Ps, and one for the P7000 series.

I just learned, through Fujitsu, that the P7120d model has one of the re-call battereries. (see this link: http://www.computers.us.fujitsu.com/www/news.shtml?aboutus/pressreleases/pr_102706. But I'll check out that forum recommendation. Thanks for your help.
