    hi..
I've got a Lifebook s7010, that beeps 4 times during bios boot. The screen remains blank and after the beeps, there is no other response. Does anyone know the Phoenix Bios beeps codes for the laptop. I searched google, no luck.

Does anyone have any info or have encountered such a problem before. The laptop is out off warranty.

    thanks

I think the same thing happened to me. I had to change the mainboard. Cost me only for the labor, parts are still under warranty.

    hi.
    Thanks for replies.
    1. My Laptop is not under warranty any longer, it will cost me a 'bomb' here to service it.
    2. The beep code is quite unique. It is just 4 beeps with pause in between each beeps ie. beep-pause-beep-pause-beep-pasue-beep. I cannot find this is the standard Phoenix Beep codes..

    regards

I though all fujitsu came with 3 years warranty! ohh well, i doubt if there's any other way. What you can do is take it in service and check how much it will cost, then ask them to list you all the hardwares u need, and you go service from outside where it's much much "cheaper"

I had same problem and I found solution from some Fujitsu-Siemens forum:

You have to take battery off and turn your laptop on with only ac-power. Then it might work. At least it helped me and my laptop works quite well now. But I'm not sure does that help you because I have Amilo D 8820.

I had the same problem on my Lifebook S6231. Turns out that after I took it in, no parts needed to be replaced. They reseated the memory modules and reseated the fan and cleared debris from the vent for preventive maintenance. According to them, it gets "clogged" after a couple years and just needs to be cleaned out...but now it should be good for another couple. Had to pay $120 for the diagnostic/labor. Glad to have my laptop back!
