    I have a Fujitsu Siemens V5535.

    Here is the specs

    * Processor: Intel Core2 Duo T5550 1.83GHz
    * Memory: 2GB
    * HD Capacity: 120GB
    * Display: 15.4"
    * Graphics Card: SiS Mirage 3+
    * Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Business
    * Networking: Network adapter - Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g

    (I can't post links but if you wish to see it, then go to play.com and search v5535)

    It has an SIS mirage graphics/video card. I really want to upgrade without buying a new laptop! I want to be able to play games on it.
    I really want to, It must be possible, i mean its just like taking the RAM out.

    Can i do it? how much would it cost? and if i can't, then why.

    Thanks

    (p.s. i will bookmark this page and keep checking frequently.)

    Hello Mate

    Sorry to say no its not possible. The SIS chip is soldered to the mother board. So your stuck with what you have mate.

    Most of the time, a laptop's graphics card cannot be upgraded. Sorry, but this one cannot either.

    Just FYI, but even the $300-400 laptops will have video cards much more powerful than the SiS you have now.

    sorry man, no dice. as Marshall said, your GPU is soldered directly onto the motherboard, and therefore not removable. plus, there's probably no space for a dedicated GPU w/ cooler in a chassis that small.

    Might sound silly, but theres no way to un-solder it is there?
    I highly doubt it but still...

    certainly there is, if you're highly experienced with micro-electronics and have custom equipment worth a few big ones lying around...
