After three+ weeks of waiting, my new friend is finally here. I'll be crafting a formal review after the CES, but so far I completely love it.

The keyboard is much more usable than I anticipated, which is a huge plus. The screen is great, I'm so happy I went with a model that supports 1280 x 768. The speed is actually faster than my old Dell Ins 8200 which was a P4M 1.6. I did get my Fujitsu stacked though, with the 7k hard drive and 1GB RAM.

It's half the weight of my old machine, which is much of the reson I bought it. I got the air card from T-Mobile installed and it too works like a champ, which was the second reason I went with an ultra portable. Anyway, I'll report back more...travelling out to Vegas will put a number of hours on it.

If you have any specific questions, I'm happy to reply.

    Hey Brian,

Have you had time to write-up a detailed review of your P5020D, yet? I think a lot of us here would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.

How's the access through T-Mobile? The wireless performance? Graphics? What sort of games have you tried out? Any FPS's? Have you gotten used to the smaller punctuation keys?

    Fill us in![ ;)]

Grrr...I am so busy that I have not gathered my thoughts in a formal review. I just keep answering posts here. I'll continue with this tact for the moment:

Screen - love it to death. Having high res is key for me, movies and such look nice as well.
T-Mobile - more or less the same performance on any other notebook. The speed is hampered by the card, not the machine.
Games - No FPS, that's not my bag. So far a lot of online games, pop cap, MSN Zone kind of things. I've played a few other real games, all look nice.
Punc keys - I sometimes get commas instead of periods, that's the only thing. I really wish there were home and end keys, I'g give up F11 and F12 in return.

Keep the questions coming, if you have specific questions, I recommend starting a new thread.

    Welcome Zippy,

I read your review when you first wrote it, way back when on Leo's forum. (Last week.)

How do you like it now? Anything new to add?

I'm still very happy with the machine. It's my primary PC, and even though I have a desktop at home and at work, I'm not using them at all. I'm a bit surprised, but I'm not even using an external monitor, even though it's sitting right here on my desk.

The keyboard is great, battery life is great, and the display is great.

I'm also quite pleased with the vendor, Laptopsinc.

    Pat -

That seems like a common thread. I've been thrilled with mine, but I do use an external 19" LCD when at work.
