Well, I finally ordered it about 2 weeks ago from PortableOne. I ordered just after they switched to the MT-30 Turions.
I also ordered it with the 1GB of ram and the 7200RPM hard-drive. Should be a quick one! Certainly an upgrade from my current Presario 2100. PortableOne has been a joy to work with, although I did order right during the Christmas days so it's taken a while to ship. Should be here by Tues.
Woohoo!

Are you writing a review?
-
Please write one! Also, when it gets to you, tell me how you think it looks and whether it seems bulky or not alright?
-
Yes, reviews are good! Especially since I want to buy it in a month or two, and the more reviews the merrier!

I ordered this notebook direct from Fujitsu back in December, it finally arrived yesterday. So far this is definitely a top quality laptop and a great value for the price. I haven't had much time to play around and test its limits, so I can't give a good review yet.
Some quick cons I noticed, fingerprints appear easily on the cover and the screen resolution is limited to 1024X768 without being subject to screen scrolling.
Pros I've already noticed, touchpad is smoothe, the laptop is so light (big deal to me) and after a few hours it does not get very hot while laying on your lap. My biggest concern is the battery life and if it can stand up to the 3.5-4 hour promise from Fujitsu. I love that this is an AMD chipset and feel confident this new system will last me a long time.
Hope some of this was useful, if not others will post a more detailed review of their's:fujitsu: -
Any qualms about the size of the screen? Is it adequate size to watch movies and such?
-
i haven't loaded a dvd up yet, just looked at it for a few hours last night. I think the screen size is more than adequate for all purposes. I mean, if they make portable dvd players with a screen smaller than that, the size should be just fine at 13.3. I'll let you know how the quality is and how well the sound is from the laptop speakers. My purpose for this laptop is mainly buiness. I like the size and weight and I've always been happy with the quality of fujitsu products (never had one of their hard drives fail on me yet). Hopefully I can give an unbiased opinion about this notebook, but I'm already thrilled with it

Okay, I got it on Monday. Took awhile to get here, but the experience was great. I wrote a review, it may not be of the highest quality, but I tried. The 7200RPM hard-drive also makes such an incredible difference, as does the gig of ram. It boots to a usable desktop very quickly. Very lightweight and well built, loving it so far!

Nice review! Lots of pics are always good. PM the admins about puting it on the front page... I think u get paid for it
-
Thanks... I still have some stuff to do on the review, some stuff to add and some more tests to run. I wrote that one up in a hurry. And yeah, that was the one quibble I had with the review they have right now, not enough pictures.
-
i agree, that was a great review and full of excellent pics. I probably could have saved 76 bucks on taxes if i got it through portable one, but i found a $50 discount code and could use a free flash drive so I went for a direct order with Fujitsu. From the sound of it, portable one seems like a great company to purchase from.
