I want to put more memory in my N3510, so I asked Fujistu directly if I could take out the 400 mhz memory and put in 533mhz memory and they said no. I have read on this forum that people said you can.

Has anyone actually put 533MHZ memory in the N3510 and used it?

I haven't done it, but don't see why you can't.

The memory should down clock if it's not compatible, so it will just work at 400 if it cannot do so at 533.
But as Brian said, I don't see why it shouldn't work. All numbers show it's compatible.

So if it's just going to downclock to 400MHZ, then there is no reason to spend the money for the 533MHZ memory.

I verified I have 400MHZ memory when I called Fujitsu. They ask for my serial number and configuration number. They told me to only use 400MHZ memory. I think I am just going to stick with what Fujitsu told me since they are the ones that built the computer. If someone posts that they are using 533MHZ memory in there N3510, then I might change my mind, but for now I think that I will use 400MHZ memory.
