I assume that the standard memory in the N3510 is 200-pin,
    DDR2 PC2-3200 @ 400MHz - is that right?

Will the memory in this notebook run @ 533MHz if I upgrade
    it to PC2-4200 @ 533MHz - I assume it won't. This is
just like the Dell I6000 if that is the case.

The only reason I ask is that these 2 memory types are about
the same price, so I might as well buy the faster one.
    Will it even be compatibile?

I definitely want to run matched modules. Please advise.

    About $65 for Kingston 512MB PC2-4200.

finally got to it [ :p]
    have a look here: http://www.notebookreview.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13282&SearchTerms=n3510

I expect that 533Mhz modules will operate with no problem. I have no idea how dell managed to disallow/screw up 533MHz on their i6000 line! [V] the chipset supports it, and the Bios SHOULD too.

I am currently running out of spec rams on my laptop 400 instead of 333 and they work fine, so i guess fujitsu doesn't try to limit options.

Dell evidentally does this so there high end notebook, the I6000,
doesn't compete with the higher end models that don't have
the 400MHz memory, they have full 533 - the I9300 and X model
    notebooks. Marketing stupidity I guess.

I have the N3510 and I am using PC2-4200 @ 533MHz. It is working with no problems at all. So there is no reason to wonder if it will work or not. I have proven that it works.
