    N3510: Secret Undocumented Compartment?

    Does anyone know what the screwed compartment is in the front of this unit? It's right under the touch pad and extends to the left of the unit. Underneath it there are two screws that hold it in place.

    The manual doesn't have anything on it...

    There is a big red button that says "launch the nukes"?

    Just kidding - I'm kinda curious what it is too...

    it could be the secondary optical drive, or it could be for a PCMIA, bluetooth, or a slot for the Audigy 2 ZS or something

    Its a place to hide your money/drugs/other valuables the boys at Fujitsu thought of everything. LOL, Actually going by your description, I think that is where the tuner would go if it had one.

    No, I have the tuner.. The tuner is located on the left of the notebook, not below the touch pad.

    It could possibly be the hard drive, but I have no idea...
