I think tttttada said he uptaded to this driver for the X600 but when I try it says i cannot, i know i may not necessarily need to update but i figured with Day of Defeat: Source coming out i should.

    any ideas?

it don't work for me either, maybe he did the mod thing. After all Fujitsu is not listed as one of the supported manuf.

I am dling the omega's 5.9 now. I haven't updated my drivers since months :p

Yes, I did indeed upgrade to the Catalyst Mobility 5.8 a month ago. It showed no improvements on 3DMark05 scores and didn't support Hypermemory, so I rolled back the drivers to default. I think we'd have to wait on a BIOS update by Fujitsu.

the ones on ati's site are 5.9 ... maybe the new ones don't work for fujitsu!!!! weird.

anyway i got the omega 5.9, but haven't tried them yet. I am not playing much games so I have no driver issues to really need an upgrade, but I guess I'll just try them for the fun of it before I format this week.

And about the BIOS I think fujitsu have never released a BIOS upgrade for any model, which I find very weird, they rarely even release upgraded drivers. That's quite a shame considering that they providing a product of such high quality but near 0 support!

Just a note, i installed the omega 3.8 onto my n3510 around a month or so ago and not only did it improve 35mark05 a lot, it also enabled hypermemory on the x300. Fantanstic set of drivers IMO.

i did go ahead and get hydravision even though i don't planning on getting an external moniter any time soon, although a 23" sony widescreen has been calling my name i think :)

hydravision has a few little extras that are kind of nice, but pretty useless, the multidesktop thing is cool but would be much cooler with 2 moniters :) and ttttada. i guess the catalyst 5.8 driver was easy to install or did you have to change BIOS settings or something?

EDIT EDIT EDIT! http://www.driverheaven.net/#news85394 just venture here if you want catalyst 5.9 i will give it a go and see if this changes anything and let you guys know

Yah, it was pretty easy. Just make sure you uninstall all the old ATI drivers/software before you install the new ones.

I'm really interested in the Catalyst 5.9 too, but I just don't want to go through the hassle again. If it changes anything, please let us know!!!!! Thanks!!!!

i think it was worth it for me, i can now adjust HDR settings in hl2 so when DOD: source comes out tomorrow i will be set. and the cayalyst program is nicer than the regular ati software i think. so if you are planning on playing dod:s and hl2 lost coast when it comes out i would say go for it. and yes make absolutely sure you uninstall the ati video driver and the control program, restart your computer install the vga driver, then install the new catalyst 5.9, and you have to have make sure you have windows .net 1.1 for catalyst to work correctly.

if you can't figure it out just check the discussion on the same site and it will explain everything.
