I am planning to order an N6410 (waiting on C2D) with a single 100 GB hard drive & wanted to know from an current owner how the hard drive comes partitioned?
Lastly, if anyone has any info. on WHEN the Core 2 Duo's may become available for ordering, an update sure would be appreciated! :) ~ I've been patiently waiting ever since Fujitsu announced in July that the N6400 Series notebooks would be among the first to receive the C2D processor.

I can't answer your question regarding the C2D but as far as the HD is concerned, it is partioned as a "C" Drive and a "D" drive. The "D" drive is the "Recovery" partition.

The "D" partition is at 1GB with the remaining set for the "C" drive.

hmm that is different from the N6410 i reviewed, but it came with Dual 160GB HDD's, it only had one partition for each drive. and my N6210 has only 1 partition as well, and it comes with recovery disks.

circa my came with only one 160GB HD that is why there is a difference. MIne to did come with recovery disks as well. You can restore the orginal system from that "D" partition instead of using the supplied disks.

ahh i see, I guess on the single drive N6410 the restore partition is already in there.
