I need to get FireWire 800 for my N6420, and the ExpressCard slot options look rather bulky. I was wondering what kind of port is where the TV tuner would be (I didnt get a tuner) and whether or not there is a remote possibility that I could add a firewire 800 port there.

Also wondering if anyone knows where to get the restore DVD's, as mine are damaged and no longer work. (Also, my computer "encounters a problem" whenever I try to install new hardware - this is what prompted me to try a restore and find my discs to be damaged.)

Finally, anyone know if the second partition (the 1.00GB one) is a factory image restore partition?

You can only put a TV tuner on the "TV tuner" slot.

Does your DAR (Drivers & Application Restore) disc still work? You can install the files from there. If not, you can download the drivers off the website. The restore DVD's, you can order them from Fujitsu.

Lastly, I think it is a factory image. I have to double check. If it is an image you need the program to do the restore process. The older models have a utility called DISE (Drive Image Special Edition) that restores to the factory defaults using that hidden partition.
