    Hi guys!

I'm kind of a newbie and I'm trying to make up my mind about getting a 6210. I think I really want to get it. The LCD seems super, and having 7K60 HDDs is good too. I've been a little worried that I would be disappointed with performance of the P M750 so I've been looking at the HP dz8000, which is totally tricked out with power, like a P4 650 (3.4 GHz) w/HT. Since everything else is comparable except all the heat and noise of the HP, plus maybe a bonus in reliability towards the Fujitsu, I guess the issue comes down to power.

Where would you notice the difference in performance most between the two? Do folks think the extra speed is worth giving up the superior LCD screen?

Also, reliability is real important to me. Plus I think the Fujitsu looks really nice, no comparison with the HP.

I saw on another thread that someone had bought their 6210 in Korea and got a P M 770 (2.13GHz). Are these available to us in the states, and would the extra speed be noticeable and beneficial?

I posted on a HP dz8000 forum, but folks there seem to be so focused on power and speed that they don't seem to know much about Fujitsus. Folks on this forum seem a lot friendlier :) .

Another question. Anybody with the TV tuner option - the tech specs seem to say that the tuner only goes to channel 69, but other things I've seem suggest it's fully cable ready for up to channel 10x. Is this a problem?

Finally, it looks like the 6210 has been out for about a year. Has anybody heard anything about an upgraded or new model? Are they likely to bring something out before x-mas? I'd be bummed if they did and I'd just put in my order. But then, things alway change, don't they? At some point you've just gotta go for it.

PS What's best: to buy from Fujitsu or PortableOne?

    Thanks for any advice.

I would prefer the Fujitsu becasue it is better built and the P4 on the HP run hot. Fujitsus have the best screens in my opinion, but HPs are nice as well. The Pentium M is a powerful CPU. It is hard to judge by clock speed anymore. I would prefer P1 because you won't have to pay tax and they have very good customer service.

i don't think you would be dissappointed at all with the M 750, I have had my N6210 for about 2 months and i am so happy with it, best purchase i have made it years. I just got a stick of Corsair RAM another GB. (so now i have 1.25gb) and it just flys, i had 512mb before. and again the screen on the Fujitsu is absolutely amazing, if you plan to do nothing but gaming i think the Fujitsu would be up to par, I can run HL2 absolutely beautifully, especially now with my added RAM :) and i just got FEAR and this machine is quite capable of running it. the hp is also extremely heavy
