Fujitsu now has $100 rebates available on the S6240 and N6110. You can apply these to purchases made between today and the end of the year, as long as the purchase is made from the Fujistu online store or from an authorized seller (Newegg already has these rebates up on its site; I imagine that purchases from P1 would qualify for the rebates as well).

    Offers may be found here:

hey, $100 is a good amount of savings and Fujitsu doesn't always have a whole lot of offers, so this is great. thanks for the post on this!

Unlikely since PortableOne's s2110s are build to order and NewEggs are preconfigured.

Newegg is a bad place to by notebooks from just because of their return service. So that's why I would recommend P1. P1 has great customer support.

If I remember correctly the S2010 @ P1, has a free 40 to 60 GB HDD upgrade. You can give up the upgrade and get -$50, and then upgrade the HDD on your own. I would do that in case the savings are reasonable enough to do it. + You get an extra HDD that you can use in an enclosure as extra/mobile storage!

No P1 wont match a newegg price, especially that they always have some free upgrade or something like that. P1 only matches Fujitsu's prices and you get that free upgrade.

BTW I remember in the past someone mentioned here that they had dificulty getting the rebates after they bought from newegg. Not sure if this is still the case or that has been resolved.

If I remember correctly, P1 will do a dead pixel check for you before sending it off. That is worth $50 to me. I think NewEgg's policy requires at least seven dead pixels for an exchange. As for rebates, I always make copies of everything before sending them off. Some rebate companies are bad and look for reasons to deny you. Also for larger rebates, I usually send them certified mail. It costs a couple bucks, but that way they can't claim they didn't get them cause they have to sign for it.

<strike> I just order a Fujitsi a couple of days ago form P1...do you think they'd match the offer now? I don't think the money has been processed yet..</strike>.

Oh, wait nevermind, it seems the offer is only good for certain models. The S2110 was on newegg not fujitsu. :D

I was actually hoping for a rebate on the S2000. If they add a -$100, I would go for it. I feel like using an AMD for a change :p

Inkyquills, let me know how you like it when you get it. I am currently almost 90% sure I want a P7000, but if the price on the S2000 goes down even further it becomes a very sweet deal, especially that it is still relatively pretty portable, probably not as much as a P7000, but hey larger screen and keyboard. and I can get almost the same battery life of single battery on P700 with twin battery option on S2000!

All I know is I want another Fujitsu :D
