I ran both CPU-Z and CPUID and they both are showing my 1.6 running at only 600 mhz-

The power adapter is plugged in.

Anyone else see this? Is there a fix? (I saw nothing in the BIOS).

    Thanks

the cause of that is that your CPU clocks down when not in heavy use to save power and not heat up. try to load your cpu with some cpu intensive software and it will clock up automatically.

I ran SiSandra CPU Arithmatic Tests while plugged in and on battery.

Plugged in- Test result matches the reference chipset/cpu.

The wierd thing is, it scores the same when on battery power. I thought it would throttle down while on battery. Must be the load that makes it throttle up to the max.

So I think that windows is just reporting it wrong, not showing actual speed.

Actually, windows shows me the correct speed, jumps to 1.6 when I plugin the power, else have seen it drop to 591 or something. cpu-z always shows 600 though .. and it doesnt show any memory/mobo stuff either. Is there any other app which will show me more info?
