The new model number to replace the N6410 is to be called a N6420. I spoke yesterday w/ Fujitsu order desk & they stated the 17" N6420 with the C2D should be available to order next Tuesday.
A couple of diff. processor speeds in the C2D will be available to choose from as well as a change video controller. The new video controller is to be a ATI Mobility Radeon x1600 w/ 256 or 512 MB of HyperMemory in available config. choices.
This should be available on the Fujitsu website http://shopfujitsu.com next Tuesday as well.

I would love to do a review of this thing to compare to all the other models i have done. Maybe you guys can talk to Fujitsu about getting a review model of this unit. I would love to see what the X1600 can do with one of the best screens in the world.

May be a dumb question, but what is a C2D?

Intel Core 2 Duo, the follow-on processor from the Intel Core Duo. Notable difference between the two is that the Core 2 Duo supports 64bit processing and the Core 2 Duo is supposed to be around 10% quicker than the Core Duo at the same clock speed, at the same energy consumption.

Cameldog - thanks! I had not heard the Core 2 Duo called that before and was not smart enough to figure out the abbreviation.

As soon as Fujitsu has the N6420 ready for ordering, I am placing my order. Have been waiting for over 2 months!
