Does anyone know Fujitsu will release new 13' LCD laptop with Core 2 Duo recently?

I just found they removed S6xxx series from their official website?

I dont think that they will bring the revised S6xxx to the US, it overlaps too much with the S7xxx and the S2xxx.

S2xxx is not an overlap with S6xxx. S2xxxx is simply the model number variant of that chasis that uses AMD CPU's instead of Intel. That is all.

S7xxxx is more of an overlap as the were speced similarly but with 1" difference in screen size.

With the release of the Q Series maybe Fujitsu felt they had the intel end covered but needed still the price figher.

But dont be confused its not really a dissapearance of that model, its just Fujitsu basically saying they will stick with AMD chips in it ie S2xxx.

If you look, the S7xxx was almost the same weight as the S6xxx, it was the difference between 4.2 and 4.4lbs, plus it was cheaper.
The S2xxx was almost as good performing as the S6xxx, and it was same size, same weight, and $300 cheaper.

That's not news. It was the centrino verson, not actually a different model!

So its not that Fujitsu has dropped a line, its more like they have decided to just offer the laptop as Turion only. THAT is the news, since I dont know if any major manufacturer has actually done that before ie drop Centrino when they had both Centrino and Turion on offer for a line of product.
