Guys, I need help please...
I've just look at N3510 which is being offered for US$1000, with 80Gb HDD, 512DD2 and no TV turner (I hate that).
I know I've set my heart on this baby but the concern now is: DDR2 PC3200(400Mhz) 200 pin are rarely sold on Newegg. Besides the price is crazy too, far more expensive than the faster PC4200 (533) or PC5400 (667).
Have you guys ever tried to use the faster PC4200 on this lappy for dual channel configuration. I.e: 1GB x 2 = 2GB PC4200
I have checked the Fujitsu website already, and the manual says the configuration is max for the 400MHz (PC4300) memory and bandwidth. Oooh this is terrible option.
I see that other people also complain that they can not find the Express Card slot in the Multi PCMCIA/Expresscard slot. Well If this is true, please, please give us the information. I really appreciate this. =)
Thank you very much,
Monkey

I have an N3511 and I put a DDR2 667MHz. The system shows its running at 533Mhz. There shouldn't be any problem with that coz the FSB of the CPU is 533. So the CPU & memory will have the same clock speed. And even if you put a 667Mhz RAM, it should under clock it to 533Mhz. You can even mix them up .. i.e. a 533 & a 667 ... but the max bus speed will always be 533Mhz.
I hope that clears up things for you. Enjoy!!! -
Helo Krycek,
Tx a lot man for giving me this info. But anyway can you please specify to me whether you have dual channel support in your N3511 as in the N3510.
That was my plan actually - to underclock the 667 to 553. I'd like to purchase the 200pin dual pair of either 533 or 667DDR2 (1GB X 2) from Newegg, so I can take advantage of the speed using the full 533 bus speed. However, I am not feeling very secure on the technical specification provided in the Fujitsu's website.
1) Have you upgrade yours?
2) Can you share to me what is the brand of your DDR2 (the stock memory and the upgraded memor) so I can buy identical brand and spec?
3) Any complain about the screen and the Express Card Slot yet?
4) how about the heat and easy-to-crack body which is often complained in this forum...?
Thanks a lot buddy,

Helo Krycek and everybody,
I finally able to come across to the Fujitsu website. Apparently Fujitsu did make incredible approach in designing the pc-card slot and express card slot. No wonder I miss the spot. It's a top-n-bottom design.
Krycek did inform that we can use 533MHz DDR2 memory for the N3510, however when I see the spec on the following link. How come it says, "The maximum supported memory speed is 400MHz DDR2." Please anybody give me input. I suppose N3511 and N3510 is very similar but a confirmation would bring peace of mind to me.
Thank you so much, if anybody else would comment.
