I've been using for 3 years and a half an Amilod D 1845 at 3.2 Ghz. Lately it started to have serious heating problems. I cleaned the ventilator and reapply thermal paste on the processor, but it did not solve the prblem. I noticed that when it runs at lower clock it also reduces the core voltage and it does not get so hot.

Is it possible to downclock it and reduce the core voltage?

The heating problmes started roughly around the time I had to change the power adapter. The original one burned itself and I bought one that was advirtise as working with several amilo laptops.

Is it possible that the heating problem is becasue of the power adapter?

For near future I am going to get a new laptop. How can I dispose of this one? Does anyone need some spare parts for theier laptops. I am willing to sell it quite cheap. Except from the heat problem everything is very good shape (LCD, hdd, DVD burner, ram and probably also the motheerboard, proc and video card)

    Best,

    Pasoleatis

Hi, Did you get an answer? I was hoping to replace the graphics card for my Amilo D 1845 as my one has broken.

    Thank you
