    HI every one i'm new to this forum i just placed a order with laptopsinc for a p5020, i had a hard time desiding if i wanted to spend the extra money for the 1gb of ram, i was wondering if your guys could help me deside..Is their a big perofrmance increase using 1gb instead of 512?.. i'm grateful for your help thanks

    For most uses, no. I got the 1GB, but I think 512MB is just fine.

    Recieved my p5020 a couple of weeks ago from laptopinc(great people) i have the 7200rpm hard and 1gb of ram i got off of ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31575&item=3463597283 great deal.. i am so happy with this machine its faster than i though, most games play really good, battery life is great i use this speed step software http://www.diefer.de/speedswitchxp/ it works really great i also have the modular battery, i charge my p once a day and i can surf the web and play games for about 8hours with both batteries, this is a great laptop to those of you that havent ordered one yet....

    Glad it's working out for you. The 5020D is the best piece of technology I've ever bought...and that's saying a lot. Not a perfect fit for everyone, but suits me just fine.
