Does anyone know of a store where one could check out a notebook similar to a P7000? I really want to see if the screen will be too small before I take the leap.

Perhaps there is a Sony or other model that has a simliar sceen and is commonly sold in stores? I went to Fry's and they had a S6210 (which I liked), but no P7k's.

I live near Dallas, TX, so any national chains are probably within driving distance. Thanks!

Frys is the only store that I hear might have it, but I guess it doesnt.

The similar Sony is the TR5. As for stores, you're not going to have much luck. You can order from www.laptopsinc.com, they have a 30 day return policy.

CompUSA has the TR series. I don' t think they have the TR 5A , but I believe that all of the TR series have the same screen and size. You will get a good feel for the P7000 because the screen resolution of the SONY TR series machines are identical to the P7000 and I think the machine sizes are approximately the same.

The sizes are about the same and yes, all of the TRs share a similar body.
