Hello all! This is my first post here, but I've been following the posts for sometime now. After days of looking around, I finally placed an order for the N3510. Looking at all the positive comments for P1, I ordered mine from there. Here's my config:

    N3510 (740 1.73GHz / 15.4"CV WXGA / 1GB / 7k60 / 56K, 10/100 & WIFI / XPH/ No Tuner)

I'm still thinking if I shd go for the tuner option, but it's costing me $300 more! I've seen some posts about the heating problem. Will it get worse with the 7200 rpm hard drive? I still have time to change if that's the case. Will post more when I get my lappy!

7200RPM should make no difference on heat. Some have reported a bit extra heat with it, but the benifits far outway this negligible additional heat. I say just stick with it.

Thanks! any ideas on a good laptop case for this guy? I'm looking for something that's not too heavy so that the whole thing does not weigh a ton.

Also, I'm torn between going for the TV tuner option and buying one externally. Is it worth $300 and does it offer any advantage over the external ones?

    TIA

Actually the 7200s do run a bit warmer than other drives I've seen. When I am typing on it, like right now, I can feel it through the case. You could get an external usb tuner. Probably less expensive.
