    Hello,

I would really appreciate if someone can diagnose the problem with my laptop (the Fujitsu on the right). Recently I've been noticing that the screen is becoming increasingly yellow. I recently returned from Europe and when I fired up the laptop, the screen was exceptionally yellow. The colour settings/distribution is fine and is at default, but adjusting it doesn't seem to help much either.

Can anyone take a guess as to what could be causing this deteriorating condition?

    Thanks!! :)

    Hey...

So after a bit of research I suspect that the problem is an aging CCFL back light lamp, and not the LCD panel itself.

It looks like I can pick up an new CCFL lamp for under $10, as opposed to dishing out $150+ for a new LCD.

    So here are my questions...

    1) How difficult is it to replace the lamp portion of the LCD? (I'm pretty careful and good with my hands) Anyone have experience with this?

    2) Would a CCFL Lamp for an S6210 13.3" be fine for my S6231? (It's pretty much the same computer right?!)

I absolutely love this little laptop and it's never let me down untill now (even though I treat it like a rented mule). I don't have money to buy a new laptop right now and I do a lot of CAD and graphics design for school, so a yellow tint to my screen isn't really tolerable!
