Does anyone know if the Amilo D1845 supplies 16V or so (instead of 12V) to the backlight inverter when the charger is connected?

I want to use the inverter salvaged from such a notebook in an old Lifebook S4572 that does, and I'm afraid that this will damage the new inverter if it isn't designed for the higher voltage.
(Why don't I use the correct inverter? Because it costs more than the whole notebook is worth)
