Anyone experience problem with curser moving when typing an e-mail.

I have found that the letters will jump into a different line frequently. I have tried inactivating the touchpad and/or removing mouse! Also slowing down the mouse proprties?Any suggestions

Hmmm, haven't seen this myself. I was going to suggest the touchpad, but you disabled. Could you be accidentaly hitting the up arrow when typing? Does it happen in all programs? Has it been this way since you got the notebook?

This happens to me all the time on both of the thinkpad notebooks I've owned. I don't use a mouse or touchpad, just the pointing stick. I've put it up to bad typing as I'm a terrible 4-6 finger typist and I think I must be hitting some other key that causes this. It never happens on the desktop though. Maybe has somehting to do with the function key??

Mine does it too. Drives me nuts. I too thought I was inadvertantly tapping the mousepad, but I think it is the keyboard matrix shorting when typing. I use an external kB at the office and it's fine. Only happens when I use the laptop KB. Must be a flaw.

Its interesting that I can identify with all of the above posts! Its been since the beginning with my S6210. I also attributed it to "bad" typing skills!! I thought some electrostatic discharge etc on touch pad!!
It seems to happen in word processor programs as well--but much less frequently.

Interestingly-Its not doing it as I type this!!

    Very strange!

By coincidence, I installed updated touch-pad driver from Fujitsu. It helped a great deal. Actually, seemed to solve the problem!!

I have had this problem too. Just happened as I was typing this in fact. I wonder if this really is a widespread problem.

If you don't mind, where did you find this download that helped the problem. Is it on the Fujitsu website. I would appreciate any help you would give. Thanks.

If you check the mouse program in Control panel under mouse, etc. If you have the Fujitsu program rather than generic mouse I think you are OK.

The update came from the Fujitsu site-- and is the only update driver I believe. Its under pointing device, etc.

    Good luck!
