A few weeks ago, i bought my new notebook, and it was great for the time i had it. At the moment, its in repair, because it didn't turn on properly. It turned on, but then turned itslef off after about 4 seconds, and then repeated the process, over and over.

So i sent it in for repair, and it been gone for about a week. I rang the tech support today, and they say that the processor is having to be changed. I gather that a processor can cause this sort of problem, but i'm worried about this happening again.

I am sure that the processors are tested thoroughly, and any defective ones, certainly aren't carried through to be sold. So, should i be worried?

I wouldn't worry to much. As with any computer component, your bound to get a defective unit now and then.
