Hello. I'm attending university in the US this fall and i've decided to get a Fujitsu S6210. I live in Malaysia and it costs about US$400 more over here. Based on the specs i see online, the only difference between the one over here and the one found in the states is that the one over here is 1.5Ghz opposed to 1.6GHz over there. And also the one over here is 60GB and over there is 40GB. As i am a student and 400 bucks is quite a lot (i can buy tons of clothes with 400 bucks), i plan on buying the notebook once i get to the US.

I was wondering whether it is better to buy it at an actual store or to buy it online? I've never bought anything online, and with something as expensive as a laptop i wanna make sure that it is safe and reliable. Furthermore, if i buy it online, would i be able to go to a Fujitsu service center without any problems? And if i do purchase it online, how long does it usually take? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks.

I would buy it online when you get over here. www.laptopsinc.com is my choice for Fujitsu. Feel free to call them if you have more questions.

Do you know how much the student discount at PortableOne is? Do you ask about it when you call them?

The student discount is 5%. You have the choice of EITHER taking the student discount, OR getting the free upgrades listed on the site (in blue font at the bottom of the product page.) Yeah, ask about it when you call.
