Now that I've gotten to spend a little time with my 3530, I've noticed a couple of odd things that maybe someone else who owns this machine can explain.
1. I've noticed that Windows identifies my optical drive as simply "DVD-RAM". I know it supports 5x DVD-RAM, but it just looks a little weird. Does yours show this as well?
2. When I right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties" it shows my OS as "Media Center Edition Version 2002, Update 2". Now I'm completely new to WinXP Media Center Edition, but I thought I was suposed to have MCE 2005? Or is MCE 2005 just MCE 2002 with updates?![]()
Little confused here. Thanks for your help....

1. I dunno but mine does it too.
2. From what I understand this is a known issue with mce 2005. My mce 2005 does it too on my n3410. To see that your actually running mce 2005- open media center and go to > settings, general, about media center and click on software version. That should say what version you are actually running. -
On mine the DVD drive shows up as "DVD-RAM Drive" as well. Im running windows XP Pro. I've had no problem with dvd's so far. havent burnt anything yet though.
hey mach, incredible screen eh?!
have you done any dual screening. i've noticed when i do dual screens, sometimes the page will flicker. this is very rare, and ONLY happens when Im in dual screen. It's so fast you can barely notice it, and it only happens on the screen that is active.
other than that, i love this thing. it's pretty much attached to the hip.
it's really not that heavey. i enjoy mine very much! -
OK, opened Media Center and it does indeed say 2005 in the "About" dialog. Thanks for clearing that up, sirwalter.
The "DVD-RAM" thing doesn't really bother me and my drive handles DVDs just fine, but still thought it a little odd.
nick - Yeah, the screen just blows me away! Haven't done any dual screening, haven't had the need yet. Maybe I'll toy with it later and see if it does the same to me. Maybe it's the ATI drivers? I don't find it that heavy either. I guess it all depends on what you consider heavy. I've spent 2-3 hours in my living room with it on my lap and the only problem I've noticed so far is gets prett toasty right in the upper middle portion where the felt is on the bottom. Which makes sense since that's why Fuji put the felt there in the first place. Gonna have to get myself a Lapinator soon.
Thanks for your replies!
Oh, and nick, aren't you working on a review of this lappy? -
By the way, I'm not too hung up on benchmarks, but I just ran Super Pi at the same standard (2m digits) as on NBR reviews and scored 1m 25s. Not bad. Anyone else tried this yet?

i got 1 22 with the N6410 with the same processor and 1gb of ram. The N6210 and N6410 also just say DVD-RAM drive as do most DL dvd writers from my experience.
