Just a quick question, since all you guys seem very helpful and fast at replying!

Do all fujitsu's come with their harddrives formatted in FAT32 out of the box, or is it just the S7011 (or is mine special :p)? And what is the best way to format the drive into NTFS?

Thanks heaps. You guys are awesome.

I haven't checked my file system yet, so can't answer your first question. However, if you want to convert to NTFS, all you have to do is to run the convert.exe in a command window. This exe is located in windows\system32 folder.

    convert C: /FS:NTFS

    Thanks heaps,
I ended up calling fujitsu and they guided me through a clean format! But your way sounds more elegant. Next time I have to format a FAT32 drive I'll do it your way!

I actaully prefer doing a clean format when converting file systems. I have noticed that doing the convert thing that is built into WINXP slows down the computer significantly!
