I recently orderd my S2110 from P1 a couple of weeks ago (maybe a little less than a month?). When I had ordered I asked P1 to run a dead/stuck pixel check on the screen before they shipped to me and apparently they did. But just recently I've been noticing this little light bluish dot on the screen that never goes away (except when the screen is off). It's not directly in the middle of the screen but it's not on the edges either. It's kind of bothering me. I didn't really notice it during the first few weeks, I assumed I didn't have any cause of the check P1 performed, however, could the dead pixel have delevoped later on?

If this is a dead pixel, should I do something about it -- is it too late? Email P1? I think their dead pixel policy is 2 so would it even do any good? Is there anything that I can do on my own to get rid of it?

As I understand it, P1's policy is as long as you asked for a dead pixel check, zero dead pixel is what you should get. But I am not sure if this changes for dead/stuck pixels developing after a while, or you don't notice them immediately!

I say give them a call or email, and see if you can get a screen replacement if it is bothering you.
Before I got my N6, I ordered an N3 (which I eventually exchanged for this) and it had one pixel stuck on red in the middle, and they were willing to exchange the screen. And my N6 got a screen replacement with 2 stuck pixels (one red one blue) even though they never checked the screen because I was too impatient and had them ship it directly to me from Fujitsu (they were out of stock).

BUT before you do anything make sure you do indeed have a stuck pixel, use dead pixel buddy which I have attached to make sure.

Yeah, I did use DPB before posting. The supposed-dead pixel is a light, light blueish color that can only be really only be seen on blue or dark colors. I can't really discern it when viewing regular pages with a white background. It doesn't REALLY bother me but you know it's just THERE and it's the first thing my eyes go to because I know it's THERE.

Did you get a replacement for your second N3?

No, my N3 was just returned, got credit for it which I used towards buying my current N6010. But P1 were ready to replace the screen if I wanted to, but the N3510 just didn't fit my needs.

Actually, P1's policy is 1 dead pixel. At least, that worked for me. It seems that Fujitsu messed up and shipped the order straight to me rather than P1, and when I got it I noticed a single gray pixel. I figured I could probably live with it if I had to, but when you spend that much on a new computer, you expect perfection. Luckily, P1 understood my dilemma and after I emailed them agreed to take it back and replace the screen. Of course, that meant another 2 weeks without my computer, but I think it was worth it in the end.

Bottom line - email Ivan and see - they'll probably swap it if you are willing to wait on shipping and ordering a new screen and such.

As far as I can remember, Fujitsu's stuck pixel policy is either 3 combined stuck pixels anywhere on the screen, or 1 stuck pixel on the (2" x 2" area?) middle of the screen.

Call them up to make sure, or call P1.
