what would be the most effective ram for the s2110?

    1GB ?

is it really worth it to go over 1GB?

I believe 768 MB to 1 GB is plenty for most people

    512MB: Office and Internet apps

768MB/1GB: Photo editing, Databasing, modeling, or gaming.

2GB: An overkill for most users, but some need it especially for intensive mathematical modeling, or rendering.

a module will consume the same amount of power irrelevant of size/density.

2 modules will consume more for sure. But the difference is so insignificant (each module doesn't consume much to start with) to actually make that a determining factor of what you get.

In power consumption, screen comes first, followed by CPU, and then HDD (and optical drive, but that is not on all the time)

Great. I was thinking if i had 2gig sitting there and not being exploited i would have been wasting battery (and money) for nothing.
