hi there. I finally got myself an S6120D and i am very happy with it. But then after i formatted the machine, i managed to install all the neccessary drivers BUT i suspect that i am short of one - the USB 2.0 driver. This is becos under the device manager there is an unknown device there and each time i put my USB2 thumbdrive inside, it says a hi speed device has been plugged to a non high speed hub etc. Could anyone of you point me to where the location of this USB 2 driver please? THis thing is getting me nuts already :(

This unit that i bought does not come with driver cds cos its a used unit. :( PLease help!

reward? a future GMail invite perhaps? anything! please help :(

thanks very much for the offer. really appreciate it :) I will send u an email. But at the same time, may i ask something since we are both using nearly the same thing?

I have here an S6120D. What i dont understand is, does this unit actually comes with integrated WiFi? this is becos i saw teh wifi switch at the back. I also make sure i installled the driver for the adapter (2100 something) and also IntelPro utility. but each time i click on it, no network exists!

or have i mistakenly bought a non-wifi enabled unit :(

    pls do advise. thanks.

Your gmail is not working for me.

S6120D is not use intel wireless chipset. U can download the driver from fujitsu website.
WLAN Broadcom V3.20.23 3.23MB Recommended view
Wireless LAN Atheros V2.4.2.9 3777K Recommended view

u need to check out the chipset before u install the driver.

    Good luck. [ ;)]

the link u gave me is very useful... the drivers that i downloaded from a fujitsu website lists all the files is at
    http://support.fujitsu-siemens.de/DriverCD/DUCD_LIFEBOOK/html/driver/_system/S6120_wxp_eng.html

I compared them with the ones u gave me and it seems that some of them are actually the same files! :)

But then what differs is that it does not contain the braodcam download and also the Aetheros download. But then the site that i download the drivers from contains Intel(®) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter Windows(®) XP LAN Driver.

I could not check the config number or the serial number because the sticker was torn out :( i tried whole nite by testing the 2 (broadcam and atheros) but none of them works! it seems that they could not detact the adapter at all.. am i missing something here? thanks in advance.

when the unit boots up, i entered BIOS and check. under the internal devices configuration, i could not see that wireless lan is present. does that actually mean that my unit does not have wifi? but then its a pentium M machine rite? it should have rite?

i have basically tried everything that i could think of:

    1) install the intel wireless pro 2100 adapter
    2) installing the broadcom driver
    3) installing the Atheros driver

ALL couldnt work! is there a way which i can check whether is there wifi in my machine or not? i noticed that some 6120 models actually have the Atheros sticker right below the Windows XP logo near the keyboard. Mine only have the pentium M and the Windows logo :(
