Has anyone checked out the CPU utilization when playing a dvd in battery mode and in AC mode? Also, I've read a few threads that mention the fan to be noisey. Is this true? and if so how loud is it. If I were to surf the web with WI-FI and listen to music, will this cause the fan to start up?

from what i understand, the fan only goes on when it has a high load and the cpu is hot.. so when you are just surfing thw web or just having a mp3 play, i doubt the fan will go on.

i cant comment on the dvd utilization as i do not have the notebook

I haven't seen complaints about the fan...or maybe I just overlooked them. I don't think it's an issue, especially with the new ventilation of the S6231. On battery, web browsing generally won't cause the fan to spin, but music will probably push it over. You have to also account for backround processes like spyware and virus protection, along with email, chat or whatever else is active.

Can someone with a S6210 notebook check the CPU utilization on dvd playback? The only reason I'm concerned about this is because the S6210 has integrated graphics, which I feel will make this task very CPU intensive (hence a worse battery life) say compared to a dedicated vid card like the Sony S series (Mobility Radeon 9200).

    Thanks
