As the title says, is there a BIOS or other option to disable the blue LED light in the S6210 power button? It seems like it might occasionally get distracting when watching a DVD at night or in a dimly lit room.

    Thanks for your help.

    [ :p]

I'll take that as a "no". I don't own one yet, so I can't really try the sledgehammer approach.

Does anyone else have any more helpful input?

i would guess that you would have to take the whole laptop apart to do it.

Ok, thanks for the straight answer. I was just wondering whether there is an built-in option or setting for it, I wasn't planning to do a physical modification.

Why would you even want to disable the blue LED light? Its looks pretty cool compared to the plain green looking one. And yeah only to get rid of it is cracking open the top chrome panel and pulling it out.
