I can no longer run my laptop on AC power (or change battery) because the connector has come apart. This site, tells you how to re-solder it back on: http://jackrepair.blogspot.com/
Anyone done this before? I plan on doing it soon.
Also, another problem. -- Sometimes when I flex the case (e.g. place my hand on the palm rest above the hard drive) it has the NMI Channel Check IOCHK blue screen.
Google searches brought up the link below. The following is one of the posts: Has anyone applied the electrical tape themselves? Is there a DIY for this? I thought i might do this when I open up my laptop to repair the AC power connector.
According to PortableOne's employee who fixed my computer, there's a known issue. Some components on the motherboard protrude to such an extent, that when the casing of the laptop is flexed in a certain way, it will cause the computer to crash.
In the newer models, this issue is addressed with electrical tape on the casing of the laptop in order to not allow conduction in certain points where these components protrude.
On a lighter note, PortableOne replaced my motherboard and applied this electrical tape, and the problems have not reoccurred.

That's a very detailed set of instructions so it is worth a try. You have nothing to lose, while reassembly will help fix any other loose connections, etc.
I have to say that this potential problem has been known about for several years and, once I know, I put some thin strips of cardboard into the gaps around the power socket. Prevention is easier than fixing the problem.

Is it really as easy as applying a dab of solder to that small point on the powerboard? I have never soldered anything before... well, my neighbor wanted me to solder a mod chip to his playstation like 10 years ago, which was not a successful operation.
Unlike the instruction website pictures, my s6210 board is round and so there is not much room for cardboard -- but thanks for the idea.
