Just wondering, is it possible to put the laptop to sleep only without shutting it off?

    Anyone tried it

I don't understand the question. Sleep doesn't turn the machine off, but it does put it in a state where it cannot be used. Please clarify.

    sorry about it :)

I meant to ask if anyone tried to put the laptop to sleep instead of shutting it off. Will it damage the laptop in the long run?
