Hey, I got a quick question. I'm currently deciding on a new notebok and I'm stuck between the S6220 and Sony Vaio S series. I'm all for the S6220, but its weak graphics card is keeping me from picking it up. Is it possible to upgrade to a better graphics card? I don't plan on playing many PC games (I really just want to play City of Heroes) so I wasn't sure if the little guy could run it. I know the Sony can handle the gaming a little bit better, but I don't like its keyboard as much as the S6220.

    Thanks in advance! :)

The Fujitsu is a superior machine when compared to the Sony in every way, except video RAM. You can't upgrade the Fujitsu card. The Sony comes with 64MB dedicated, which will be significantly better than what Fujitsu offers. The S6220 will handle RTS games very well and can play something like UT2004 on low settings.

I tried these games so far on my S6210...

    Rome: Total War
    Far Cry
    Halo

ALL where set to 1024 x 768 since its the native resolution, and quality drops a lot on ANY LCD that is not operating in it's native resolution...now onto the settings..

Rome played on medium graphics settings, and was a bit jerky at times

Far Cry was on the lowest graphics settings, and played smooth as can be

Halo was played on Medium graphics settings, and HIGH effects setting.. played fairly smooth, but jerky at times

    I hope this helps

Thanks for the help guys. I feel a bit more confident about picking up the S6220. Like I said, I really only want to play City of Heroes (it's the only MMORPG I've ever been interested in) and since it's been out for a bit now, I figured I'd be able to run it on the low settings. I guess I'll have to see for myself if I decide to get it!

    Update:

    installed Call of Duty.

It plays @1024x768 beautifully, smooth, no hanging...actually one of the best playing games so far.
