What resolution and refresh rate are you S6231 owners using?
Went to Fry's north of Atlanta today - when I went to look at the model two weeks ago, apparently, the S6xxx model that they had were out of stock but the sales guy said newer models were coming in (S6231, apparently they had the S6220 or S6210 or something for a while).
So since I had some freetime today, checked and made sure they had a display available for me to look at, then went over there.
The display on the laptop looked huge, it was running 800x600 at 60Hz refresh rate. Changed the display to 1024x768 and it looked a little better. I also changed the refresh rate on it, but it said 60HZ was the only available rate that the hardware could handle. But I unchecked it and ran it at 85Hz. Does this actually change anything or does it not matter for LCDs? I know for sure, it makes a huge difference on a CRT monitor.
Just wanted to know what resolution you guys are running at.

Glad you got to play with a S6231 and experience it 'up close and personal'. The S6231 is a refinement of the S6220 with much better cooling and the Dothan processor. I love mine. I'm running the display at 1024 X 768, 32 bit, 60 refresh. It works perfectly for me. Unless you need a notebook immediately, I'd wait until March for the Sonoma to appear in the S6XXX series.
