    Hi,

I've had my S6231 for over a year now, so I guess it's out of warranty. Anyway, I've come across this weird issue and wondering if anyone else has had it. Basically, when going to power off/reset the computer - from the bios, linux (knoppix), Windows, the computer will completely hang or freeze. Then the only way to turn the computer off is by disconnecting the power adapter and also removing the battery if it's plugged in.

Then, when attempting to turn the computer back on, after plugging back in power adapter and/or battery, it will refuse to turn on for a random amount of time - usually between 5-10 minutes.

I'm suspecting a faulty power regulator of some sort but am not sure. So, has anyone else experienced this kind of issue?

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks

I've had my s6231 for over two years and have never experienced that problem. It does seem strange that your laptop won't turn on. Good luck with that!
