XviD to VCD using S6231+SuperMulti+WinDVD Creator 2, playback on $35 Daewoo DVD player.

My desktop rebooted every time I tried to turn an XviD into a VCD using a Memorex 16x dvd burner an its Nero software bundle. I thought if my desktop couldn't do it, my S6231 surely couldn't, but wanted to test anyway.

I downloaded and installed the latest XviD codec here: http://www.koepi.org/XviD-1.0.3-20122004.exe Then using InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2 which came bundled with the S6231 SuperMulti drive, selected the video file, and a couple clicks later the process started. After completing I ejected the CD and to my surprise it played back in my el cheapo Daewoo DVD player. I thought for sure I would have to update this and that, scour forums for secret info about which dialog boxes to check and which settings to set. It's actually a surprise when things work right the first time without having to make the study of it one's life work.
