Anyone knows when S6240 will be available in Canada? And how much?

Canadian models can trail by a few weeks or more...you're best off calling Fujitsu CA to see what they think.

I just got mine from PortableOne on Tuesday, I live in Ottawa. I actually payed less buying from them than buying here locally. I highly recommend buying from them.

Photonix, how much did you pay for it? I was considering to buy direct from Portable One too. Shipping fee is like roughly $30 USD? So, you are saying factoring into the exchange rate, it's cheaper? Do you have to pay for any custom tax as well? Thanks BTW, do you think the screen of S6240 is too small?

I find the screen perfect at 1024x768. I ended up paying around $2100 CDN . There are no duties on laptops into Canada, only taxes are applied at customs(I double checked twice with customs before ordering to make sure). Shipping was about $50US to my place, best is to ask Ivan for a quote. Exchange rate is pretty descent right now, I had an exchange rate of $1.19.
Plus as with everyone else that's ordered from P1, customer service was great.

According to Portable One's pricing, S6240 now is $1449.00 USD + 50USD times 1.15 tax? then times 1.19 exchange rate = roughly your price. Hum...if i compared apple to apple:
    Fujitsu LifeBook S6240A Pentium-M 740 1.73 GHz, 2 MBcache, 533FSB, 13.3", 512 MB(256MBx2), 40GB, CDRW/DVD, 802.11 a/b/g,WinXP Home

Canada Computer's online shopping offers $1649 (with 125 manufacturer rebate) times 1.15 tax is = $1900 cad roughly. But they offer only 1 year international warranty as opposed to Portable one (3 yrs free right?) Again, I'm not sure what you have in yours and don't know how good is Canada Computer though. And I am tempted on Portable One's customer service. Well, I still haven't decided on buying S6240 or S7020...

I got a question - how did Portableone manage its warranty? Let say i buy the notebook from Canada, and if I have a problem, do I seek help from Portableone or Fujitsu Canada? Anyone?
