I'm planning to buy either S6240 or S7020 in about a week or 2. I wonder if any fujitsu users or non fujitsu users can give me some ideas/suggestions? Basically, tell me which one you'd prefer and why?

The s6231 is a little smaller lighter if you want to be mobile. The one I would like to have the most is the s2110 with the Turion.

I opted for the S7020D. A few more ounces (4.3 pounds versus 4.03) and half an inch wider for the 14.1" screen. The battery life of the s7020 is rated a little better too. The 13" screen was nice and the size of the 6240 was nice, but we just liked the screen size on the 7020.
Even if you can't se the Fujitsu's in person, go to a local computer store and look at a 13" versus a 14" screen and see what you prefer. There are many fans of both models.
Last piece of advice- due to my recent nightmare with my computer (don't worry- it turned out just to be a missing file- the nightmare was that Fujitsu tech support couldn't figure it out and replaced parts- over and over...but now they know the fix so don't worry), I would strongly recommend purchasing from Portableone. I have never seen a company have such great customer support and service! The owner figured out the problem, talked me through the install and set-up, kept in touch to make sure all was ok, and has gone to bat for me to get my computer working the way it should. Their prices are a little better than others, and I am the ultimate bargain-hunter, but I would pay a few dollars more if I needed to knowing that you are buying from someone who will stand behind you and intervene if necessary.

I personally like 14', they're the perfect size for power, mobility, and big enough to use at home too! in most cases I'd say go for the S7xxx buuut I also like how much the Turion S6xxx is alot cheaper.. I think I'll go for that one instead if I were you :)

We've got a review in the queue for the S2000, I think that one's very interesting. My preference would be for the smaller size though, S6240.

Hi martin5kh, sorry to bring up an earlier thread, but what did you finally decide? Is the 6240 better than 7020 in terms of battery life, performance and heat / fan issues? Would love to hear more about this!

Hi I too am interested in the Fujitsu's, debating between the 6240 and 7020. My understanding is that the 6240 doesnt have Bluetooth, and the 7020 doesnt have a memory stick card reader?, is this correct?

That's correct, higher end 7020 has built-in Bluetooth. 7020 doesn't have memory card reader. As well the 7020 has infared port, ability for ExpressCard slot which is supposed to replace PCMCIA slots in the future.
