the Fujitsu S7010 and new S6210 are practically the same specs including the weight but the difference is the screen size.
13.3 of the S6210 or 14.1 of the S7010 which would you go with? and
I know the new s6210 has the crystalview but I've not heard anyone say exactly why it is so much better the marketing hype says it's brighter so you can use you laptop outside tell me how many of you spend time working on a laptop outdoors?
-
im not sure if im correct or not, but i heard that the crystal view is just like sony's xbright. And if u seen the xbright screens, man its beautiful. LOL. And not only that, you can view it from different angles unlike the orignal screens. So im think the crystal view is the same thing. Wait a min. didnt the N series already come out with the crystal view already? i think they did because i remember seeing it in person. ANd it did look like the sony's xbright. i dont know if this help, im confused on certain things like you. LOL
-
I've seen the crystal bright on the n series and it is beautiful. Not just for outside...
-
Thanks for this. I'm SO ready to buy, but I will hold back...........
-
just as an fyi, the Fujitsu S7000 series will be refreshed in about a month and will include the Crystal view technology...it's worth waiting for if you prefer the S7000 because it really is a nice screen. Fujitsu is going to standardize on this screen for all future notebooks.

wrong agaon abaxter. There is no CV planned for the S7010 near term at least.
-
When he posted it, the S7000 was due to get CV. Not until yesterday did we get an indication that this was not happening.

Packrat, I do not know if you are friends with Abaxter (and were just joking), but you were kind of rude when you said "Wrong again Abaxter."
Just making an observation. -
Not until yesterday did we get an indication that this was not happening. When did you get notification that it WAS happening? Perhaps they informed you that is was NOT happening to get you to stop reporting false information.
Sorry if I am rude but what do you call it when somebody misleads the group by reporting false information? Abaxter says the S7000 will get the CV and advises us to wait for it. He goes on to say Fujitsu is going standardize on this screen for all future notebooks?
You guys assume things and then proceed to report them as facts. Then everyone else starts repeating it and pretty soon nobody knows what they are talking about.

I think that the most likely situation is that they were planning to make the change and then with changing costs and production schedules things got changed at the last minute. From what I know about the technology business this happens all the time. With the trends the way they are it's very likely that these screens will become standard but Fujitsu probably decided that they couldn't do it quite yet.
With computers no one takes anything planned as being in stone so any announced product datelines, upgrades, etc should be taken with a grain of salt. This is true even if it comes right from the company itself. Personally I believe that the administrators sources are right more often then they are wrong and I am glad to that they pass whatever info they get along to us.
Just my two cents and I could be wrong but I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt and if not that then at least some common courtesy. -
Packrat - you need to calm down. And yes, you are being rude. We're trying to do the best we can to get out information on Fujitsu and other brands. In this case we were told one thing, then something different. Fujitsu does reserve the right to change their mind, I'm sure you can understand that. That said, if you don't like the was we post news, you're welcome to not read it.
