    2) Brand name : Fujitsu Made in China
    3) Brand name : Fujitsu-Siemens Made in Germany

At first view all these brands are one thing.but i want to know

it doesn't exist when buying notebook?

    Thanks.

    Dear,

There are several types of S7020.

    1)Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook S7020 : The development & assemley
of all Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook series takes place in Germany. This
is Siemens & Fujitsu Co-Operation.(I think this brand is available in Europe only.)

    2) Fujitsu Lifebook S7020 : I found 2 types of Fujitsu S7020

one is "Made in Japan" & other one is "Made in China".

Does anyone know that all types of S7020 have this Problem (soft white light @ bottom of LCD)or not ?

Is it possible that this problem appeared after using notebook
    for a long time(2 or 3 months),if it doesn't exist?

    And Last question:

If you want to buy ,IBM/Lenovo T42P (15inches,2.3Kg) is

    better or Fujitsu-Siemens S7020?(Price isn't important)

    Thanks.

I don't know how to find out beforehand where it is made, but I can tell you we bought it from the U.S. Fujitsu web site and it came straight from Japan. So it is made in Japan and yes it has a very noticable light shining up from the bottom of the lcd. It's in an arch form and goes up to about 1/3 of the whole screen in the middle.

Other than that the notebook is pretty nice. But the screen is not as great as people are saying Fujitsu screens are. I also bought an Acer Ferrari 4005 and find its screen to be much better than the Fujitsu one.

this is not at all common with Fujitsu screens. i would be amazed if Fujitsu didn't replace your computer actually that is unacceptable. Expecially because Fujitsu screens really are the absolute top of the line screens

The soft white light along the bottom of the S7020's (not an arch, but about an inch high from the bottom up straight across the bottom edge) is typical, and is visible in the pictures in the review on this site. I think why some people complain about it and others don't is because it is more annoying to some than others. I noticed it in mine, but it didn't bother me. I knew it was typical and overall the screen was beautiful. Now, if the machine had been reliable and durable, it would have been a great unit.

    Dear,

    Thanks for your help.

Does anyone test S7020 LCD (XGA CV & SXGA+ non-CV) viewing angels?

    Thanks.
