I posted this in the Fujitsu section already, but didn't get any answers.

I just noticed on my wifes new S7020 it has quite some backlight with a dark screen, especially from the bottom. When I boot it up I can clearly see the lightcomming from the bottom in an arched shape. In the middle section it goes up to almost 1/3 of the screen. And that's not even with the highest brightness setting.

I guess in applications that doesn't matter too much, but I am guessing when watching a DVD this might be annoying. Is this normal for S7020 systems? I thought Fujitsu screens are so superior?

That's called light leakage. Every notebook has some sort of it.

Nothing's wrong with your screen, and if you don't notice it normally, I wouldn't worry about it.

Ok, nvm then. I was just comparing it to my old Sony GR300 (3.5 years old) and it's screen looks almost better and has none of this leakage.....
