    Hi there,
Just bought a brandnew Fujitsu Siemenens Amilo A 1640.
It has a Sis M760 PCI Express videocard wich uses 128 MB of shared memory. There's one thing that I can't seem to find and that is where (and if) I cn change the 3D functions of this card. Checked the advanced settings of the menu and found absolutely nothing regarding to 3D settings. Does anyone have a clue on where I could find this? Thx...

If you go to Intel's site and download the latest driver, which gets updated a couple times a month, you'll get a control panel from Intel to handle some of these things.

Oh, I'm sorry, I assumed it was an Intel card for some reason. I'm not familiar with the one you have at all, they don't use it in the states.

    Hi there....
Checked it out with the Fujitsu Siemens Belgium helpdesk and this was their reply:
"We don't have the laptop (with the SIS M760 integrated graphics adapter) so we really can't help you with this question..." And this was an official call with the technicall helpdesk !!!
The SIS website refers to the Fujitsu Siemens helpdesk (in Belgium cause that's were I bought it). So I guess this is where my story ends... Technical support my @ss (sorry about that :))

Does anyone have any clue how to change the 3D settings of this chipset? Any help would be appreciated...

Sorry to disturb you, have you by any chance found the answer? I'm having the same sort of a problem here.

I want to set the video memory to 128mb, and I don't know how. It seems to be stuck at 32 MB. Anything requiring more than 32 MB video doesn't work, or works miserably.

The graphics card driver supplied with the A1640 notebook is supposed to have a "3D Settings" tab (as in the readme.txt) but in reality it doesn't.

Is there any program designed to tweak the shared memory ratio between video and system?

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

OK, in the end I thought about going into the BIOS settings, the video to system memory ratio can be set from there. I wonder how the heck have I missed that until now.

Anyway, the 3D settings problem is still pending. If I find out anything noteworthy I'll let you know. Please do the same.

    Thanks.
