It was recommended that I buy a Fujitsu N3511 in the "What should I buy" forum (here)

I'm somewhat computer literate... I have a Dell Dimension 8200 desktop and a Mac G-4 at home, but need a good laptop to do video presentations and show a website with video components.

Is this a good recommendation? I honestly had not heard of Fujitsu before coming here... Would love feedback.

    Thanks much!

I think I was the one who recommended it...Fujitsu makes some of the best built machiens in the industry, and this model has arguably the best display. You haven't heard of them because they're not promotional like Dell and others and tend to be more business oriented. I can't promise you that you'll love it, but I assure you it's not a bad decision.

Thanks! Would you suggest going for the smaller but faster hard drive? Anything else I should know?

Depends on your needs and budget issues.

when you say video presentations do you mean that you will be moving it a lot? if so you might want to look at something smaller and lighter. otherwise the N3511 is a real nice laptop, and the screen is spectacular to say the least. for smaller you can go with the s7020 (it also has a longer lasting battery)

I think it is better to have a faster hard drive if you don't mind paying the extra (5400RPM is recommended). you will notice a difference in booting up the system and in how fast things load. But that shouldn't be what makes you go with one model or the other since you can pick which ever hard drive you want when you order ( www.portableone.com have a lot of hard drive options)
