Hello all,
Recently I had a bad contact in my Fujitsu S6210's AC jack. From what I heard, it happens to a few models, in particular the S2020 and the S6210. Although it only happened to me after 4.5 years of use, I thought I might share it here as some people might benefit from this.
If you have this problem, check out this site for a solution:
http://jackrepair.blogspot.com
He gives detailed instructions on how to open an S2020 and repair the AC jack, but it works almost exactly equally with an S6210.
PLEASE NOTE: you will need some common tools (screwdriver, knife) and a soldering iron. If you never did soldering before, don't do this or at least practice some before attempting this!
I hope this helps someone. If you want to try this, feel free to contact me through the forum or PM. If you actually go for it and fix your laptop based on that site, please leave a comment on the author's blog to thank him. I did.
P.S. Here's a picture of my S6210 all opened up. It is now closed and working as I type this on it![]()

Very useful.
This problem is a feature of these models. I took the precaution of putting cardboard strips in the gaps around the power socket so that it is better supported by the casing and less likely to move.

I did something similar as well, though I used plastic. First, I checked that this part doesn't heat much during use
I really loved the fact that the guy went through all the trouble of posting that, with detailed images and all. To me, it saved me the hassle and money of buying a new laptop.
