Okay-I'm posting it here, but I don't know if it's the N6010 settings or settings on XP (which I've never hardly used.)

I have played with the new Fujitsu for several days, and have been pretty happy with it, but I'd like to be able to better see some colors.

One website I visit daily has some icons with a green background. There is NO color showing on XP. Is this something I can adjust?

Also, in ANY Explorer window, the slider bars along the sides (scroll bars) are all but invisible. I NEED to see them better.

Finally, I was shocked at some of the fonts on text pages. They are not sharp or bold with colors-some of them look "transparent" with only a little color.

I have tried the "Advanced" color manager in Display Properties, but if I toggle them more in one direction, it seems like I give up something else. Also, I did go to the 120 dpi setting to better see icons.

    Any ideas or help appreciated!

Never thought I'd be into THIS stuff!

    hi there.
Is it possible your display is set to lower than 1440x900? in order to get the most out of your display, you have to set it to it's "native" resolution. I own one of these, and I can tell you I have never seen a nicer, more vibrant, crystal clear screen. Text on mine is Razor Sharp.
Try that, if not, set everything back to default.

    Good Luck!

Switch off all font smoothing options that XP offers. I just hate those settings on an LCD, the cause a gray shadow around text.
As for missing colors, at the moment I cannot think of anything! But if I do I'll let you know.

Also, in Display properties - Appearance tab, click on Effect. Here, for "smooth edge of fonts", select Clear type from drop down. My N6010 screen is super cool [ :)]
