I have not yet bought T4220 tablet. But I realize it can run on main or bay battery.

So my question is, can I remove the main battery and put in the bay battery (of course, i need to remove the bay dvd drive first)? Cos main battery seem heavier than bay battery.

Also, another question is, if given a choice to buy an additional main battery or bay battery, which would u prefer to buy? Reason? If I am not wrong, buying bay battery is more expensive than buying an additional main battery.

To buy bay battery or main battery is my dilemna now...

Check the capacity of both the standard and bay battery. They should give you this in either mAH or WHr. The battery with the longer capacity will last longer when used with the notebook. Its normally the standard battery, which has the larger capacity, so I would recommend that one.

    Thanks for the reply.
Actually standard is higher capacity. But however, my actual question is more of whether it iss possible to take out the main battery, and leave the bay battery inside the notebook, and notebook is still able to power up??

Main battery may be of higher capacity, but bay battery is much lighter than the main battery. Of course, when I go out, I will bring the main battery with me, but keep it in my bag rather than in my notebook.

I tried bay battery on S7110 not T4220. It's definitely doable. I can swap battery between main and bay battery without losing power in standby mode and resume after that. I bet T4220 is the same, why not?

I have the T4220. You can do this, but the Main battery is also the battery cover. So if you take the main out, your left with the empty space on the bottom of your notebook.

Yes the main battery has more capacity (5200 vs 3800mAh). Yes the bay battery is more money (usually).

If I was given the choice, I'd get the bay battery instead of a second main (which is what I did).

    Thanks for reply.
Main battery has more capacity, so does that mean theroetically, it last longer than bay battery??
