good lookin' out! thanks for the URL. i'm kinda bummed about the case build. i expected a pretty solid machine for a 10lb. footprint. :( mine will be an almost permanent DTR fixture though. i'll be much pickier about case build when i complement the N6410 with a fully mobile, much smaller rig down-the-road...

ya that is sweet. And the screen brightness map is amazing. I think it is an improvement over the old. I don't know if it was always like that or just 1 year of continuous use, but now I do notice light leaks on 4 sides when on black background in a dark room :(

Anyone else find this a bit surprising?:

"The control wheel doesn't work to control the CD/DVD player with Windows XP Media Center Edition"

But it does work with Home and Pro? I would kind of expect a notebook which is essentially aimed at multimedia to have it the other way around. Oh, well. Just a small, stupid observation on my part, I guess. :p

Otherwise looks like an outstanding machine. Thanks for the link!

i did find that interesting but it doesn't really affect me since i'm running XP Pro. if i were running MCE and the tuner w/remote, i'd be somewhat annoyed. i'd want the option of either/or and i don't really understand why one would override the other... it kinda reinforces my choice for NOT running MCE and the synch'ed hardware.
